The Northrop PTA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation (EIN: 41-1758116). The purpose of the PTA is to provide financial support to Northrop. The PTA manages the money raised through donations and various fundraising activities.

Corporate Programs

• Many companies have programs to give back to schools. Check out a list of these programs and how you can help Northrop by purchasing products, especially if you shop on Amazon!

Northrop Give to the Max Day

• Give to the Max Day is scheduled  in November! Plan to join GiveMN and thousands of Minnesota nonprofits and schools as we raise millions of dollars together for the organizations which make our communities stronger.

Driven Coffee Fundraiser

• NEW last year - students can sell coffee, hot cocoa mix, mixed nuts, gourmet caramel corn, k-cups, teas to raise money for OUR SCHOOL. The funds raised will go to benefit the students, teachers, and staff at Northrop.  Sold items were delivered in Dec, right before winter break.  Thinking about holiday gifts? Family and friends purchasing these consumable goods will feel good knowing that a portion of their money they give goes to...Northrop! 

Northrop Night Out - spring 2021 at Venn Brewing

• Adults only, silent auction is held off school grounds to raise funds to support school activities.

Plant Sale with Gerten’s Greenhouse - spring 2021

• Order slips will be sent home with students in late March and pick up of the plants will be in May. 

Local Restaurant Fundraising - Northrop Days

Cardinal Bar and Restaurant
Every first Thursday of the month is Northrop Day at the Cardinal Bar and Restaurant (2920 East 38th Street). Let your server know you are there for Northrop and 15% of your sales are returned to the PTA. 

Parkway Pizza - **Longfellow Location**
Every fourth Tuesday of the month is Northrop Day at Parkway Pizza (4349 Minnehaha Avenue). Let your server know you are there for Northrop and 5% of your sales are returned to the PTA. 

Co-Sponsored PTA Events: Each year the PTA helps with several school events, including:

Walk-A-Thon - fall

• The PTA provides snacks and juice for students and collects donations to support Northrop.

I Love to Read Family Night - winter

• The PTA provides crafts and activities for all ages at I Love to Read Family Night.

• The PTA provides refreshments for the graduates and their families. 

Community Events: 

Rally Around Northrop - fall 2020 - cancelled due to covid19

• This back to school festival is a chance for families, friends and neighbors to come together and enjoy activities on the Northrop schoolyard. There will be a HUGE bounce house, obstacle course, and velcro wall for the kids, community tables, Northrop spirit wear for sale, music and more.
