Ms. Schroeder's Kindergarten

My name is Lisa Schroeder and I am a proud Northrop School Kindergarten Teacher!  I love being a part of the Northrop community.  I have taught both half-day and full-day kindergarten in Minneapolis since 1990. In 2000 I spent half the school year on sabbatical preparing to teach a full-day program.  I had the wonderful opportunity to return to London, England for three months to work at Prior Weston Primary School where I fulfilled my student teaching requirements in 1988.  I am a product of Minneapolis Schools, attending kindergarten through 12th grade and I am married to a recently retired Minneapolis teacher who is also a Minneapolis graduate. We have a 13 year old son named Kaj who attends Justice Page Middle School. In 1995 I received my Masters Degree from Hamline University and my National Board Certification in 2001.  My family and I love to travel, work on our home near Lake Harriet and explore with our son.  When I am not teaching, you can find me on a neighborhood tennis court, in my garden, or biking around the lakes.  I truly believe that I have the two greatest jobs in the world – being a mom and teaching kindergarten!!!
