Welcome to our class!  I am Mr. Martin and I teach second grade in room #103.  I have been teaching in Minneapolis since 1995.  I grew up in Minneapolis and attended: Lake Harriet, Audubon, Fulton, Anthony, and finally graduated from Southwest!  I then received my four year degree from Augsburg.  After that, I earned my Masters degree in Education at St. Mary's. 

When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my family.  We love to be outdoors!  Camping is our favorite hobby.  I also enjoy fishing, hunting, coaching soccer, and playing hockey.

We are going to have a wonderful year!  This year I plan to teach the students the love of learning!  We will be studying a lot of science!  The students and I will also be learning about our newly adopted math curriculum called Investigations.  Having all students at grade level in math and reading will be a major goal in our classroom this year.
